1. Birth certificate of the girl child: This is required to prove the age of the girl child.

2. Proof of identity of the parent or guardian: This can be a copy of your PAN card, Aadhar card, voter ID, or passport.

3. Proof of residence of the parent or guardian: This can be a copy of your electricity bill, water bill, telephone bill etc.

4. Passport-sized photograph of the girl child and the parent or guardian: This will be used to issue a passbook for the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana account.

5. Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana application form, which is available at the bank or post office where you are opening the account.

– Only one Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana account for a girl child can be opened.

The form will require you to provide details such as the name and address of the girl child, the name and address of the parent or guardian, and their contact details.

Once you have gathered all the necessary documents you can visit a bank or post office to open the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana account.
